NewThink.ai is a Louisville-area applied AI firm built around one premise: there is no competitive advantage in AI alone. The advantage is how and where you use it.
Most organizations are stuck at the same place — they’ve seen the demos, experimented with the tools, and know AI matters. What they haven’t found is a clear path from “this is interesting” to “this is working in our operation.” That’s the gap we fill.
How We Work
We take what’s sometimes called a forward-deployed approach: we work inside your operation, not outside it. That means sitting with your teams, understanding what they actually do, identifying where AI creates real value — and then building and deploying solutions around your specific workflows, your data, and your context.
Every engagement moves through three phases:
Audit — Map the workflows. Find the bottlenecks. Determine what should be automated, what should use code, and what should stay human. (Getting this last part right is important — and it’s often what separates an effective AI deployment from an expensive failed experiment.)
Build — Prototype in your environment. Start small. Build something that works before building something big.
Deploy — Move to production carefully. Layer in capabilities only after the foundation holds.
Who We Are
NewThink.ai is led by Dave Campbell. Dave brings more than 50 years of technology experience — from networking and enterprise systems through cloud infrastructure and site reliability engineering — and is currently pursuing doctoral research in Robotics and AI at the University of Louisville. He has spent a career moving into each new wave of technology before it became standard practice. Applied AI is the current wave. We bring in specialized assistants as projects require. We are a Louisville-area firm and work exclusively with organizations in the Louisville region — so we can be in your building, with your team, doing the work the right way.
The Name
“NewThink” is a belief: getting real value from AI requires approaching problems differently — not just using new tools, but developing a new problem-solving strategy for the AI era. Most organizations haven’t made that shift yet. We help them make it.
